July Featured Barista
Hello, and welcome to my autobiography! Let’s start from the beginning. I was born in Montana to a gypsyesque family with five children (myself included…at the end), two dogs, a pet pigeon, and the odd reptile. Each winter, we would close up our home in Great Falls and travel the west. We hopped from the desert to the coast doing antique shows, visiting family, and searching for gold (for real). Countless encounters with chollas and poison oak propelled us back home in time for the spring, and life continued on as normal.
Skip ahead 18 years, and I went to college in Bozeman, where I earned a degree in anthropology. As a means of delaying the inevitable question, “What should I do with my life?” I decided to move to Spain to teach English. After living there for two years, I learned two essential things: I really love long lunches, and I really love Missoula. So I moved back to Montana, met Cory Watkins, decided to pursue a career in speech-language pathology, and am heading to graduate school in Salt Lake City in the Fall. Although I will be leaving this wonderful city once again, I have no doubt that my heart will lead me back to the one place I’ll always consider home. If not Missoula, then Stevensville… Stevensville is nice.Tags: Barista of the Month, Featured Barista, Loose Caboose, Missoula, Montana
